Bringing VR to the real world
Virtual reality (VR) headsets are all the rage these days, so it should come as no surprise to anyone that an automaker as technologically advanced as Jaguar Land Rover has decided to introduce VR to its customers' car-shopping experience.
More than 1,500 Jaguar Land Rover dealerships across 85 markets will be receiving the headsets (though it's not clear when exactly they'll be arriving). Customers will be able to use the headsets to take a closer look at vehicles that haven't yet arrived at the dealership, such as the Land Rover Discovery, which is arriving later this year. Those that prefer a more traditional experience will still be able to use a tablet.
The headsets will give customers a chance to explore the vehicle, inside and out, at 1:1 scale. Additionally, the headsets will display a series of animations to further show off the vehicle, including explanations of its powertrain, performance capabilities, and more.
While we still have a little while to wait for VR headsets to make their way to dealerships, we have a wide variety of technologically advanced models to tide you over until then. Don't hesitate to call, contact us online, or visit us at 1000 Auto Park Boulevard, CARY, NC 27511 today to learn more about them or schedule a test drive.
