Twilight Tour — Brevard, NC
Each December, the streets of Downtown Brevard are transformed into a Christmas wonderland. During the first weekend of the month, the Twilight Tour takes visitors back in time with a traditional mountain celebration. The streets twinkle with holiday lights as Christmas characters stroll by in costume. Horse and carriage rides transport visitors to three different areas, including the Festival of Trees at Silvermont Mansion.
World Holiday Festival — Fayetteville, NC
Scheduled in early December, the World Holiday Festival is designed to celebrate the various holidays celebrated in every corner of the world. The Big Band and Swing Dance Festival — Asheville, NC
Held at The Grove Park Inn, this annual festival features a 1930s atmosphere complete with some of the best Big Band you will ever hear. The weekend includes swing dance instruction session and workshops, performances by professional swing dancers, and plenty of opportunities for visitors to join the dance floor to show off their own swing moves.
The Blowing Rock Winterfest — Blowing Rock, NC
Each January, the charming mountain village of Blowing Rock hosts this annual winter celebration. Designed to please the whole family, the Blowing Rock Winterfest offers both a wine tasting and auction, as well as hot chocolate and marshmallow roasting by the fire. The Chili Challenge and Pancake Breakfast are enjoyed by all, while some brave visitors even take part in the icy Polar Plunge into Chetola Lake.
